Aircraft sections are only relevant for SkyLoad and they allow you to slice the aircraft into vertical sections. Typically Airlines divide Aircraft in 3 sections namely a forward (FWD), middle (MID) and rear or Aft (AFT) sections. Whilst 3 sections are typical SkySuite allows you to decide per aircraft how many sections to have, you must have at least 1 section, but apart from that any number is possible.

The purpose of sections is to define a maximum loading weight per section and then accumulate the weight of any loaded inflight material by section. This is very important for an airline's weights and balance reporting which is used by the pilot and operational staff.
